Making an open-concept cozy

It’s important to make every living room a comfortable and inviting space. These rooms can be challenging to design, as they need to artfully reflect the homeowner’s personality and yet still present a welcoming setting to visit with guests. Incorporating color, texture, and pattern creates visual interest and a unique look that reflects the homeowners. By choosing finishes like pottery and glass, this space combines natural textures and colors to create a warm space to relax. Warmth is added with the accents of mustard and the navy rug. The real star of this room is the custom fireplace. Paneling, charcoal paint, and a slate surround and hearth create a dramatic feature. The vaulted ceiling extends the fireplace up the wall and makes the room feel larger and brighter. Custom lighting and window treatments help to create a cozy corner in this open-concept room.
