Designed to function. Kitchens are the heart of the home, the gathering space. They are an essential part of everyday living and we believe they are a space where good design is crucial and every decision matters. In this space, we got the opportunity to design a kitchen that not only functions for this family but transforms how they use the room and the entire feel of the home. One of the biggest design decisions in this kitchen was the addition of the window above the sink, along with sconce lighting and a new recessed lighting plan. Combined with the white cabinets and earthy green walls, this creates a space that’s full of light yet still grounded and in touch with the rest of the home. This design not only changed the look of the space but also the function and usability of the entire kitchen. Creating a dedicated room for the pantry, coffee bar, and window seating area adds a high end feel and increases the usable space in this kitchen. Quartz countertops complete the look and black accents add some contrast to this clean, bright space.
